- slapstick by kurt vonnegut (church of jesus christ the kidnapped - ch 38, pg 127)
- the long dark tea-time of the soul by douglas adams
i've been meaning to read "the long dark..." for years because of the title, & all this time i had NO CLUE that norse gods were characters in this thing! chapter 20 reads like what i imagine a good & humorous pre-jane/thor fanfic would read like.
"I'm afraid I haven't got anything called Vengeance, but here's some Calvin Klein Obsession."
