slowing down popular tchaikovsky tunes is nagl, ever

so ok, yeah, it's common and yeah, it's the kirov, but a good portion of the world's population instinctively knows watching this that there's something wrong with the music speed. it can be extremely distracting, especially when you're just being presented to ballet and you may not know enough yet to be properly impressed by the balances or the extensions or the échappés but you know - YOU KNOW - the music isn't right.

i wish every company would take a page out of the NYCB on this.

or out of the kidlets @ GPs who simplify petipa bc they don't have the benefit of live orchestra slowing down for them.
