reading bryan fuller's collider interview made me hate the show so much. so much.

ofc hannibal, will and jack are the leads. ofc. and that's supposed to be the best interpretation of the character and univere yet, as per a commenter:

"I think a lot of people are going to come around to this as being the best interpretation of the Lecter character and universe yet."

I sincerely hope not. This is a franchise that owns its mark in pop culture to a critically acclaimed movie featuring an iconic female lead (one of the very few in popular cinema) and this show has basically killed an analogue of said iconic female character five episodes in and is positioning Will Graham as the ultimate Lecter foil to replace her.

You mention TSCC (amazing show): now imagine if it was called Terminator: The Kyle Reese Chronicles.

This is how what they're doing with Hannibal feels like, to me.
