i haven't found a source reporting any of this combining the words NATO, encroaching and borders (eta: the nyt does it, reuters gets top prize) i guess they think they have russia's motives covered with "keeping their iron grip on the region," because everyone's played risk and it can all be inferred or w/e. but the overall impression is still that the kremlin's throwing their weight around because of ussr nostalgia and a vague agenda of corruption. they're just beingmiley the kremlin.
