because wqxr just won't quit with all the bach this month, i've switched to bbc radio 3 (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3/) for background noise and omg what a good decision.
they have this program with different panels with different specialists at night called "free thinking". yesterday was about the exploration of antarctica & today it was about 'how much self-knowledge do we need to be happy?'
it's basically a bunch of affluent british ppl talking, and there's a lot of bourgeois guilt, particularly in the essay readings that follow it. they have a hard-on for discussions of classicism.
but it's fun!
