there doesn't seem to be much 13 resons why content on tumblr.

wondering if it's reaching its twilight as a platform or if 13 reasons why is one of those shows more popular with non-fandom inclined teenagers.

I haven't seen many posts either, but my Tumblr follows are pretty restricted. 13RW is in Tumblr's fandometrics top 10 TV weekly chart (8th this week), along with other fandoms I never personally see like Once Upon A Time - I do see Riverdale and Voltron though.

My guess actually would be that it's a fandom for straights. XD;

i'm a straight! i follow mostly cis gay men who aren't into fandom at all by happenstance, but i'm aware of online straight fandom trends! like OUAT! never watched it, but i know what captain swan is! and i knew all the tvd ship portmanteaus!

i'm also aware of voltron, skam, snk, yoi (unfortunately), riverdale & most of cw's portfolio. i think i could pick most trending fandom darling characters out of line-up if it came to that.

but i heard about 13RW being A Thing through rl grapevine first! that was a shock. hasn't happened in years.

eta: recanting my statement about being able to pick up current fandom darling characters bc i just remembered TLoZ: BOTW and the fish guy. i still don't know fish guy's name and he's a fave. if i couldn't assimilate that through fandom osmosis, there must be loads of huge fandom shit i'm not aware of.

Ha! I saw fish prince on Tumblr first, but I follow a couple of people who play major video games as soon as they come out and make their fannish stances known first thing. That being said one of the initial items was a gifset of an actual late night TV skit, within weeks of the game's release, so apparently Twitter thirst for fish prince hit FAST and WIDE.

I've been watching let's plays of BOTW (it's very mellow) but have not yet reached fish prince. I have reached cross-dressed desert princess Link, though.
