My Batman knowledge is spotty, and I don't watch much CSI, but both in my IRL personal experience and as a commonplace observation that crops up from others/fiction, people who are normally very intellect-dominated and/or mentally high-strung and/or emotionally repressed and control-freakish often welcome the opportunity in a sexual context to unwind at someone else's hands. To hand over the burden of having to "engineer" the scene, as it were.
