i feel like i've traded 24/7/365 ennui for 24/7/365 surliness and while this was a positive trade in one aspect (i do owe my mother more than most people probably owe theirs), it's not really that much of an improvement.

before midnight should be released here in june, so i'll watch that in an early session. then i'll go home and watch before sunrise. and i'll leave before sunset for last, because before sunset is the true AU breaking-point and i love AU breaking-points.

it was a neat idea to end it in peloponnese/greece, i thought, and sure enough, there's a line about it in the trailer.

i don't really regret making a fan tumblr for DA? but at the same time, i do? because what happens is that it sort of makes me more aware of the fandom, tiny and prebuscent as it is (i go into the general tag to check for things to reblog sometimes). that's never a good idea when it comes to source materials that i really, really enjoy but have some unpopular preferences.

i'd probably be better off with a more controlled fandom experience. that was the biggest lesson i took from being into a:tla, a series i'm still unable to rewatch without thinking about the fandom. it's a ruined experience. :((

dance academy isn't as good a source material as a:tla, but it's such a happy show all the same and i enjoy making things from it. there isn't even a feeling of inadequacy even though what i make is LQ because there's very little to compare it to.

also, i can't quit. if i quit, the christian and tara tags will become at least 60% less active & i won't have it. bbs <3
