i like to go around being a creeper on tumblr asking anonymous questions. my favorite answers are always for asks that involve teen wolf (a show i don't watch) for some reason. examples:

omg @ O Globo celebrating the 20th anniversary of the airing of the x files' pilot.
if anyone in 2007 had told me that in 2013 rafa would have 13 slams and that 2 of them would be uso, i'd have wished them good luck with their drugs problem. i mean, he actually got a 2nd uso before a 2nd ao. how on earth. he has at least two of each slam, bar the ao.
two us open trophies. two. of the slam he was never supposed to win. two wins and a RU plate.
I MEAN.
also, this leopard seal story is doing things to me today. marine mammals, man. we should have all gone back to the seas with them.

Roger, idiot remains the most watched vid i've ever uploaded. it's a 30 seconds clip of Roger Federer double faulting and calling himself an idiot. amazing, tbh.

No.6 meta exists! I mean, everything canis_m has written about it is mini meta and accurate and brilliant, but I like big blocks of meta text, and she contributed (translation and inspiration via commentary, I think) to this one.
Now for blocks of text that are fanfiction: I never appreciate Yuletide fully because I'm wired funny (or conventionally, maybe that's the problem) . I love many things at once, but I'm usually interested in reading fanfiction for only one of them at any given time period, exception being when I'm in the transitioning stage of enthusiasm. Not to mention the stories get posted in the final days of my yearly book reading (FIGHT ILLITERACY) marathon, when I'm frantic.
But. Every year I pick one Yuletide story to read. This year I picked three and they were all great:
- The Tough Guide to Yuletide (Diana Wynne Jones, I miss you)
- Nothing Gold (A Little Princess, Sara Crewe & Becky)
- Swine (Black Books, v. fun)
No.6 meta exists! I mean, everything canis_m has written about it is mini meta and accurate and brilliant, but I like big blocks of meta text, and she contributed (translation and inspiration via commentary, I think) to this one.

A sad thing about the loss of popularity of the whole LJ format is that it's gotten a bit harder to discuss things with various different people unless you already know them and can invite them over to a chat and stuff.
It seems to be considered in bad form to reblog something on tumblr to disagree with what was posted. Even if you go the reply way, there's a limit in # of words, and the owner of the blog will still have to make a new entry to reply back. And that's also still essentially one-on-one.
Idk, whenever someone makes a really cool text entry on TRON or on what they want to see in STXII, I always wish it was on LJ/dreamwidth/wordpress.
It's a bummer.
