Jan. 25th, 2012 04:28 pmI'm serene about the Fedal semi-final. I actually think a bigger part of me wants Rafa to lose.
The way I see it, Rafa's rivalry with Roger is past its peak. Not done and dusted yet, but close in the tournaments and rounds that matter - Slam finals. And Rafa cemented his position as the top dog in those when he beat Roger at the AO 2009 final. Now he's leading Roger with 6 wins in 8 Slam final meetings, scoring wins on every surface, and in three out of the four Slams.
A loss in a SF would mean nothing to Rafa's h2h legacy with Roger. But another loss to Djokovic in a Slam final - on three different Slams to boot, leaving only RG as untouched haven - would be a nightmare.
The Ladies: I have a fondness for Vika and Sharapova, but I'm curious now about how Petra would deal with Clijsters in a Slam final. I want to see that.
