haven't read it, but this crawling into random woman's bed thing does sound very debussy.
debussy composed dreamy fantasyland mermaid music, but then you look the guy up and turns out he was a bag of dicks to women. cheated on and abandoned his first wife and drove her to attempt suicide.
it's possible i just made this up at some point and eventually it settled for reality in my head, but i thought i read that rosalie had to be fished out of a fountain. i'll never be able to get rid of the mental image.
