have you ever thought about the big-named unbreakable otps of comics? like, in a pop culture sense, if you ask a random person on the street who is superhero X's sweetheart, most of them will say Y.
there aren't many, but: clark/lois, spidey/mj. reed/sue, for those slightly more comics savvy. i think quite a lot of people would say catwoman for batman and maybe gambit for rogue, depending on their age and familiarity with the 90s cartoon. scott/jean/wolverine, too, perhaps?
only the first three have cemented status, though. they're like what most people would consider endgame. all three are of the sweetheart, tame variety and only in sue/reed the woman is a 'super' in her own right.
d'you know what i love about daredevil/elektra? there was no will-they won't-they. no bickering. they were young adults who felt attracted to each other and went for it. there was a sexual undercurrent to them from the get go, but it was mutual and treated as something fun and positive, rather than the 'bad temptation' that can color a lot of bat/cat interactions. the woman made the first real step.
both matt and elektra are roughly at the same level, 'super'-wise. they had chemistry and understood each other. it's partly why she used to be considered the greatest of matt's love stories - the closest to endgame (before marvel shat on her and propped karen page -.-).
their end was tragic and elektra's treatment since her resurrection even more so, but they're my marvel otp because MUTUAL SEXY FLIRTING.
even in that movie everyone thinks is terrible but i not so secretly love.
