Nov. 29th, 2012 10:46 pm... i have to sort this out asap because i love christmas (EVEN THO I SEEM TO HAVE TEMPORARILY FORGOTTEN ALL ABOUT IT...?!!!...?) and christmas specials and corny christmas decor and there's only this small one month/yr window to listen to the vienna choir boys and the a charlie brown christmas' ost.
my mother's 3rd chemo session was this past monday and this time, my reading choice was arthur c clarke's rendezvous with rama. it proved to be an AWESOME choice.
i'd never read anything by clarke before and i'm in love with how committed he is to, idk... straightforwardness? it reads like a field work journal and i'm used to those and it's familiar and comforting even tho i'm a terribad no good at all scientist.
it also made me wonder if space odyssey is this tightly and objectively written and if it is, how did kubrick turn something like that into an artsy nietzschean film of almost 3 hrs.
i don't want to check wiki and risk being spoiled, what if it's all different like the shining and shit.
