1. i didn't know polunin was still cutting himself. i have a bad feeling about this. granted, i have a bad feeling about everything. aging tennis players remain the least problematic people i stan for.

2. my response to realizing i should probably step back from fandoms of things i enjoy: create more tumblrs dedicated to those things. so danceacademystills (NO GIFS, EVER) to go with smallersideofaverage.

apparently, the show's final season will air in NEXT MONTH and not at the end of the year as i originally thought, which makes me very glad for reasons i don't care to discuss.

3. the first episode of the mads mikkelsen: danish hunk show was really, really good. bonus scene of the dancy dude giving a dog a bath <3 then being revealed as a dog hoarder rescuer with a bunch of dogs in his house <3333

so many cute dogs. I LOVE DOGS. more of the dogs, please. less of inception's BRAAAUM sound thing in previews. (oh, look, gillian anderson, most popular pick for clarice in fancats of the late 90s/early 00s.)

in all seriousness, these dogs really need to stick around. i can see that hugh dancy's character's supposed to be read as a moe, the fragile little china tea cup prodigy. w/e. but the problem for me is that hugh dancy's screen presence doesn't lend itself to that? he's much more in his element playing assholes and upper class characters who revel on their social standing. (he only had that moe je ne sais quoi - probably due to youthfulness - as galahad. his role in martha marcy may marlene was much more of a fit for older him.)

basically: he's not inherently likable, imo.

but the dogs help.
